Our 1st BBQ of 2008!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day; the sun was shining and the temperature was around 22...lovely!! After a morning of chores we decided to have a BBQ with our friends Chris, Helen and their daughter Grace (who is nearly 4.) We had some tasty sausages, burgers and chicken strips with Italian roast potatoes, salad and pasta...yum yum! Simon cooked it all beautifully and we then sat around the table on the decking in the sunshine scoffing our faces...with a glass of wine! Thomas was really good all day, he loved crawling around on thelawn and investigating the grass...very interesting! Here are some pictures of a lovely day.

Big birds!!

We were invited to a wedding reception a few weeks ago and whilst waiting to get ready to go out two huge peahens flew into our garden. Thomas was completely mesmorised by them and watched them for about an hour, here's a couple of pictures of them, as they were right up against the patio door Thomas got a really good look!

meeting up with Nina and family

My mum, dad, Thomas and I met up with my sister (Nina) and her three children (Jacob, Ellie and Ethan) a few weeks ago (sorry but not had any time to post the pictures...sorry sis!). We met half at a huge county park and had our picnic outside, it got a bit cool when the sun went in but other than that a lovely day had by all!

Finger foods for breakfast

Here is Thomas this morning enjoying eating a pear for breakfast, I'm sure you'll agree that he looks particularly pleased with himself!!

He is also enjoying kiwi fruit, home made brown bread (as toast) and cucumber. YUM YUM YUM!!!

My 33rd birthday - 8th April

It was my 33rd birthday yesterday and I had such a lovely day. First my good friend Helen popped round with a card, doughnuts (naughty but so very nice!) and flowers. Then my mum and dad popped over with lunch (bread rolls and prawns ..yum yum!) and then Simon's parents popped over with my cards and a lovely box of chocolates (yum yum yum!!) We all had a glass of champagne together (even more yum yum yum!!!) Simon got home at around 2pm and then he gave me his card and the one from Thomas...my first as mummy!! Well, then it was time to open my presents....hurrah!! The first one was from Simon and Thomas....a very large box!! You'll never guess what was inside....a bright yellow yukulele!!!! Why??? I don't know...you'll have to ask him!! Then in another bag was a bottle of Baileys (yum yum yum yum yum!!!) and a voucher for the spa at Bridgwood Manor for me to spend a day having massages, facials and generally being pampered....I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I got money from all my relatives and will probably spend that on another day at the spa...aren't I lucky!!

I've attached a few pictures which show my surprise at the Yukulele, and Thomas looks as surprised I was!!
