Norwegian relatives

My norwegian relatives are in the UK visiting thier daughter who is in collecge in Taunton and they came to stay with my parents for a few days. Simon has never met them so it was good that after 10 years of married life he should meet another of my norwegian cousins. On Good Friday they came to our house at around 4pm so a few drinks and a meal. We were going to have fish and chips but as Thomas couldn't have it as the chips would be fried in the smae oil as the battered products (and there's dairy in the batter) we thought it best if we cooked a meal, we had chicken wrapped in bacon, roast potatos and parsnips and carrots and sweetcorn. Thomas was very good and sat at the head of the table and was very happy to sit there in charge and tucked into the food.
